Happy Monday y’all! I hope today is treating you well. I have the day off because of the Fourth of July tomorrow and let me tell you… It feels fantastic. I’m going to spend the day wandering Ikea with my mama for new furniture for my guest bedroom! It’s a work in progress and I’ll share a room reveal when it (and the rest of my apartment) is complete! I feel like I have been slowly renovating my apartment for what feels like forever. But if I were to completely redecorate my apartment all at once I’d go bankrupt… Why is home decor so expensive?

To take you all through the process and the progress, I have lived in my apartment for almost two years. In that time I have had two different roommates and my current roommate is moving out in August. Since it’s always been two girls living here, it’s always had a very colorful, fun, and young style. As I find myself moving onto the next stage of my life, graduating college, working full time, and having an apartment all to myself, I find my style changing as well. I’m stepping into a more grown-up and somewhat neutral color palette, getting rid of the college-dorm decor and stepping up my style game. While I want my place to feel young and homey, I also want it to feel sophisticated. It’s been such a fun process so far, albeit an expensive one, and about to get even more expensive now that I have a whole guest bedroom to decorate. But a fun process, nonetheless. Once I finish a whole room (my bedroom is almost done) I will share it with you all so you can see what I’ve been working so hard on these past few months!

Now onto the good stuff: this dress. I love the embroidery detail on this sweet white dress- love me a good LWD. It is the perfect girls night or date night dress, and it’s super lightweight and flowy, so it is perfect for the heat. Pair it with some cute sandals to dress it down, or fun heels like these to dress it up! I’m usually not one for low necklines, but this one was so tasteful that I just fell in love.

Have a wonderful (and safe) Fourth of July! Still not sure what I’m doing yet…. Which, if you know me, is so unlike me- but I am trying to learn to go with the flow a little more… That could be a whole blog post itself…

xoxo,

Savannah Jayne
