Ahh, winter. While everyone else in the world dreads the drop in temps, we Floridians welcome the cool breeze with open arms. We relish in the fact that we can finally wear jeans and not melt, or our favorite ankle boots without loosing feeling in our feet. As this wonderful season of ours comes to a close, I’m sad to say, this is my last outfit I will be posting in winter wear. This winter wasn’t as cold as others in Miami, and I was pretty bummed out about that. While I watched bloggers flock to Florida this winter to escape the bitter cold, I dreamed of jetting off to places that were experiencing the snow and cold air that I love. The only real taste I got was my trip to New York City in the fall, which was, by far, not enough. I find myself laughing reading other bloggers photos taken in their living room mirrors wearing shorts saying “I wish I could wear this outside, but it’s so cold! Can’t wait for spring!” Meanwhile, here, I’m dreading spring because I already wore shorts and sundresses all throughout the month of February. I’d much rather buy and wear a new sweater and boots, rather than the warm weather clothes I just forced myself to purchase. However, as the seasons change so does my wardrobe and I am
a little excited to bust out some of the articles of clothing I love so much… I just wish it didn’t have to be so dang hot to do it!
PS – As I write this post, it is 84 degrees outside…. UGH.
